FOCUS ON THIAZOLE AND OXAZOLE BUILDING BLOCKS
We have expanded our range of 5-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic boron building blocks with new and exclusive thiazole and oxazole boronic esters.

As previously presented (see newsletter # 9), these small heterocycles are of great interest for pharmacomodulations. This month, we feature BMS' Muraglitazar and GSK's Brecanavir as beautiful examples of the incorporation of thiazoles and oxazoles within bioactive molecules :

Temporarily protected : TIPS have been chosen to "protect" C2 ; they can be easily removed during or after cross-coupling.
